This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how YokkoLab (operated by Satoshi Yokokawa, "we") handles your information in the mobile app "KOCCHI" ("App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

KOCCHI is a location app that lets members of a group share their location (direction and distance) in real time. Your location is shared only while you have sharing turned on and the App is open in the foreground.

1. Information We Collect

The App may collect the following information:

Location (approximate and precise) — only while sharing is on and the App is in the foreground
Display name (nickname) you set
Push notification token — a device identifier used to deliver "Over here!" signals
Advertising identifier and ad display / interaction / diagnostics data — via Google AdMob (free users only)

The App does not require an email address or account registration. Sign-in is anonymous.

2. How We Use Your Information

To show your direction, distance and nickname to other members of the same group
To deliver "Over here!" push notifications
To display and measure ads (free users), and to improve quality and provide support

3. Information Shared with Other Users

When you turn on location sharing in a group, other members of that group can see your current location, direction, distance and nickname in real time. Only people who have your group's invite code and are members of the group can see this. Location is shared only while sharing is on and the App is open in the foreground.

4. Location Data

Direction is computed from GPS and the compass; distance from GPS (and, between supported devices, more precisely at close range).
Location is shared only while the App is in the foreground; we do not collect location in the background.
You can stop sharing at any time from within the App.

5. Advertising and Tracking

Free users see banner ads via Google AdMob. With your consent (App Tracking Transparency on iOS and UMP consent), ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier. You can change or withdraw consent at any time in your device settings and limit ad tracking. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

6. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Messaging) — Google LLC
Google AdMob (Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform) — Google LLC
RevenueCat (subscription management)

These providers process information under their own privacy policies.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your latest shared location and member information are stored only while you are a member of a group. When you leave a group, your location and member information are removed. Uninstalling the App removes related data from your device. You may also request deletion of your data by contacting us below.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), to protect your information.

9. International Transfers

Data may be processed on servers operated by our providers (e.g., Google) in other countries, with appropriate safeguards.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from such children.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect when posted on this page.
